Council elections will take place on Saturday, 26 October. We will be entering the pre-election period, known as the Caretaker Period, from Tuesday, 17 September.

Before you start

Do you need to register?

All health and beauty businesses in Casey must be registered with Council.

This includes businesses such as:

  • hairdressing
  • tattoo studios
  • ear piercing
  • hair removal by electrolysis or waxing
  • colonic irrigation

You may need a building or planning permit

Some health and beauty businesses may also require a building and/or planning permit before they can be constructed.

You may need a building or planning permit for a variety of things such as:

  • building a brand new health or beauty premises
  • changing an existing building into a health or beauty premises
  • running a health or beauty business from your home
