This workshop has been designed to raise awareness of the Victorian Child Safe Standards and ensure participants understand child safeguarding legislation. 

Learning Outcomes: 

After attending this workshop, participants will have:   

•       An understanding of their role in keeping children and young people physically and emotionally safe from harm and abuse. 

•      The knowledge to contribute to a child safe culture that promote the empowerment of children and young people. 

•       An understanding of the Victorian Child Safe Standards. 

•       The ability to recognise, respond and report incidents, allegations and disclosures of child abuse and/or neglect. 

•       An understanding of their obligations under the Reportable Conduct Scheme and mandatory reporting.
