Hallam Recreation Reserve Hall

Large hall available for regular hire and casual bookings.

Council elections will take place on Saturday, 26 October. We will be entering the pre-election period, known as the Caretaker Period, from Tuesday, 17 September.

Hallam Recreation Reserve Hall offers a large hall, studio and a small community meeting room available for hire.

This facility is ideally suited to support the delivery of a variety of programs, activities and events, including but not limited to:

  • Health and wellbeing programs 
  • Indoor sport and fitness programs 
  • Family & Children’s programs and activities 
  • Dance groups 
  • Education and training sessions 
  • Community gatherings, meetings and celebrations

Hireable Hours: Monday – Sunday (7:30am – 11:59pm)

Noise restrictions 

Due to recent ongoing noise issues and complaints from local residents near Hallam Recreation Reserve Hall, we have had to put the following measure in place for all future bookings.

All music & loud noise is to be completely turned off in line with the below. Failure to do this will result in loss of bond

  • By 10pm (Sunday – Thursday)
  • By 11pm (Friday – Saturday)
  • By 11pm (day before a Public Holiday 

Security charges

Security will be charged for the final 4 hours of your hire if you choose to:

  • Hire past 10pm (Sunday – Thursday)
  • Hire past 11pm (Friday – Saturday)
  • Hire past 11pm (day before a Public Holiday)

Any event considered as high risk may also be charged Security from the Event Start Time to the end of Hire Time. All events that require security will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. After completing the application form you will be contacted if security is required for your event. Rates for security are listed below in Additional fees.

Reminder: All Set Up, Pack Up & Cleaning is required to be completed by the Hirer within the hired time.

Additional fees 

Public liability insurance is available for an additional $15 per hire for hirer’s that don’t hold their own insurance.

Party Safe Registration - you will need to provide proof of registration if alcohol is present at event.

Please allow 14 working days for processing applications for hire from the date of submission.

Bond

$500 or $1000 depending on risk level of the function.

Bonds are charged per centre and are in place to cover costs associated with damage to the facility caused by the hirer and/or hirer’s not returning keys/access cards.  

Bonds are fully refundable at the conclusion of the hire term provided all terms and conditions of hire are met.

Additional information

There is limited storage available onsite for regular hirers. Requests for onsite storage will be assessed on a case by case basis.
