After careful consideration, we have made the decision to hold the upcoming April Council Meeting online, with a plan to return to in person meetings from May.
This decision is based on a range of factors, including a commitment to ensuring a safe and orderly Council Meeting.
We’re now working on the appropriate processes and measures to support a smooth and respectful return to the chamber in May.
Like other local councils in Victoria, the City of Casey has experienced challenges from fringe conspiracy groups. We have been in discussions with other councils, which have helped inform the steps we will take to prepare for in-person Council Meetings from May onwards.
Members of the public will be able to view the April Council Meeting via the City of Casey’s Facebook page or YouTube channel.
