Council Meetings will be held later next year, with Casey Councillors voting in favour of a change in time. From 2025, meetings will commence at 6:00 pm on the third Tuesday of the month.
City of Casey Mayor Cr Stefan Koomen has spoken with many residents and fellow councillors
regarding Council Meeting times, and said it’s time to put the community back at the heart of our decision-making.
‘With a return to elected Councillors, we want to make sure our meetings are as accessible as
possible and hosted at a time that allows our community to come along in-person and be involved,’ Cr Koomen said.
‘It’s time to put the people back at the heart of our decision-making — everyone’s voice matters, and we’ll make sure the direction we take reflects what’s best for our community.
‘We have big plans for the year ahead, and I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together.’
Members of the community are welcome to attend the first Council Meeting for 2025 on Tuesday 18 February in the Bunjil Place Function Room, 2 Patrick Northeast Drive, Narre Warren. The
meeting will also be live streamed through our Facebook page and YouTube channel.
