Unfortunately, Storm’s open training session scheduled for Tuesday 16 July at Casey Fields will not proceed as planned.
Recent wet weather and more heavy rain predicted in the next 24 hours has left the playing surface waterlogged and unsuitable for training.
This was a tough decision to make and we understand will be disappointing for local fans hoping to see their team.
Storm and Casey Council are working on plans to have the team return in the future.
Rugby league fans rejoice! Melbourne Storm is heading to Casey Fields Rugby League Complex in Cranbourne East for an open training session.
To be held on Tuesday 16 July from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm, fans are invited to come along and support the squad before they play the Sydney Roosters at AAMI Park on Saturday 20 July.
The open training session will be a great opportunity for local schools and the Casey community to watch the Storm train and afterwards meet their favourite players.
The City of Casey is home to thousands of Storm members, and Council is thrilled to welcome back the Melbourne Storm to its state-of-the-art facilities at Casey Fields.
