From Monday 11 August until Friday 12 December, Council will be swapping your rubbish and recycling bin lids – red for garbage and yellow for recycling.
The new bin lids will make sure that all Casey bins match the required standard across the State.
The change is easy. Each week on your regular recycling bin collection day, place your rubbish and recycling bins on your nature strip and leave it out until 5:00 pm — even if your bin has been emptied. Our contractor will then swap your lid over.
There are more than a quarter of a million bins in Casey, so it’s going to take time. Please be patient during this period. We will get around to your bin as soon as we can, so keep an eye out for our crew.
The food and garden bin lid remains unchanged, and collection will continue as normal.
