Sale of SBI Group announced

SBI Group have recently announced they have been acquired by Repurpose It.  

Repurpose It operate across construction, organics and resource recovery. Over the coming months, Repurpose It has indicated it will invest significantly in the Botanic Ridge site, with a focus on improving systems, infrastructure and the long-term potential of the facility.  

Council remains committed to ensuring compliance with relevant planning and environmental requirements, and to keep our community informed.

The implications of this change in operations related to the current planning application, the longstanding operational and compliance matters, and Council’s involvement are yet to be clarified.

Council Officers will seek to meet with Repurpose It in early 2026.
