Look out – the winter school holidays are fast approaching!
If you’re searching for cost-effective ways to get your teen off the couch on those cold, wet days, then look no further.
The City of Casey runs four Teenage School Holiday Programs per year. The program is for young people aged 10 - 17 years and offers fun, age-appropriate activities at reasonable prices.
This winter, activities include go karting, cooking, sport, crafts and more. Prices range from as little as $5 to $30. There is free transport and Casey Youth Services supervise each day, from drop-off to pick-up.
Casey resident and regular program attendee Breanna, 13, said she’s loved taking part in the program.
“If it wasn’t for the Casey school holiday program, I would spend the whole holiday time in bed, sleeping or watching YouTube,” she said.
“The people are nice and that’s what keeps me coming back. To any kids thinking about coming along, go for it!”
