If your pet is registered with another council, you must update its details and move the registration over to Casey. In most cases, this is free of charge.

In the following instances, a free transfer is not possible, and you will be required to submit a new registration:
- Your pet was registered in another state
- You are unable to provide proof of payment for the current registration
- Transfers between 1 January and 10 April
- Alternatively you can print the application form and submit to the Customer Service Counter

If the pet is registered in Casey and the new owner is a Casey resident, you can update the pet registration details using the following form. It's free of charge.

You must submit a new registration if the pet is registered in another council or state.
Transfer pet registration to another pet
You can transfer the remaining portion of a deceased pet's registration to another animal. The transfer of registration will incur a $4.51 government levy fee.
- If your pet dies before 10 June, you can transfer 100% of the fees.
- If your pet dies between 10 June and 10 October, you can transfer 50% of the fees.
