As part of Council's Community Engagement Policy, the Environment and Sustainability Community Reference Group (ESCRG) was established. ESCRG support Council by offering a community perspective on various environmental and sustainable projects and initiatives.
Members of ESCRG are given the opportunity to provide a local voice and perspective when Council are developing strategies, plans and projects. The objectives of the group are to:
Provide strategic advice.
Identify and make recommendations on issues relating to environment and sustainability affecting Casey residents.
Encourage and support activities and events that promote environment and sustainability outcomes.
Enable greater participation in decision-making via community engagement and consultation strategies.
