Dogs

Dogs are always welcome at the Old Cheese Factory but should always remain on a leash or harness. Please remember to maintain a safe distance from others.

Don’t forget to pack your waste bags to clean up after your dog and dispose in the bins before you leave.

Picnics

The Old Cheese Factory is the perfect spot for a picnic. Pack your picnic blanket, gather your family and friends, and pick the perfect spot in the gardens.

Playground

Our farm-themed playground is great playspace for all ages featuring a windmill, farm animals, cheese stepping blocks and more children can let their imaginations run wild.

Located at the entry of the grounds the playground is complete with timber picnic tables, grass and shaded areas perfect to gather with friends and family.

Heritage Walk

The heritage walk consists of 10 interpretive signs to celebrate the Old Cheese Factory and Casey’s history.

Starting at the main entry this short walk takes visitors on a journey through time to explore the heritage buildings and gardens.  

Photography

With so many photo opportunities across all seasons, we encourage amateur photographers to practice their skills at the Old Cheese Factory.

Geocaching

Geocaching is a global outdoor activity the whole family can get involved in. Geocaches are hidden treasures that participants hide for others to find using GPS navigation.

VIC ROCKS

VIC ROCKS are painted rocks left in parks, playgrounds, and public spaces for others to find. Created by Moongala Community House in Bentleigh East, VIC ROCKS Facebook Group has almost 40,000 members.

Paint your own rocks and do a ‘rock drop’ at the Old Cheese Factory and or search for rocks that may be hiding in the gardens.

Join the Community Gardens

For those who don't have the luxury of growing their own vegetables or crops at home, we offer a beautiful secure area of the Old Cheese Factory for you to get your hands dirty. Garden plots are available to rent which includes tools and access to the greenhouse.

Berwick District Woodworkers Club

The Berwick District Woodworkers Club commenced with a group of 6 people in June 1986, meeting at various venues before establishing a permanent home at the Old Cheese Factory.

New members are more than welcome, so if you have a passion for woodwork or would like to learn, give us a call or drop in for a visit. All ages are welcome.

Berwick Farmers Market

The Farmers Market at The Old Cheese Factory is held every second Saturday monthly from 8.00 am-12.30 pm. The freshest produce and handmade goods straight from the farm to you! Fresh fruit and veggies, ethically raised meats, honey, baked goods, artisan breads, vegetable seedlings, jams and preserves, dairy, wine, nuts and much more.
