Casey Day Tripper

What is the Casey Day Tripper?

If you’re 65 or older (or 50 and over for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander residents) and you live in the City of Casey, this program is for you.

Launched in September 2025, Casey Day Tripper is a social day-outing program for older residents. Each month we visit a new destination — from scenic local spots to popular Melbourne attractions — so you can connect, explore and enjoy friendly company.

The 2025 Casey Day Tripper pilot program has finished and planning for 2026 is underway.

How does it work

Each month includes six trip dates (Mondays and Wednesdays) to the same destination. You choose your preferred date and pick-up location, hop aboard and enjoy the ride.

  • Departure: 9:00 am sharp
  • Return: around 2:00 pm

Transport fees

  • $10 per person for local Casey trips.
  • $15 per person for trips outside Casey.

Additional costs

We will share all cost details when you register, so there are no surprises.

  • Some destinations may have entry fees (payable on the day).
  • Meals and morning tea are at your own expense; you can bring your own or purchase locally.

Important information

  • Only 10 seats are available per trip — first-come, first-served.
  • Cancellations must be made at least 3 days before your trip to avoid being charged.
  • One week before your trip, we will email or call you to confirm your booking and payment details, or to let you know if you are on the waitlist
  • Choose the pick-up point closest to you when you register.
