  • Events linked to alcohol, gambling, or smoking
  • If you’ve had an Achievement Grant in the last 12 months

How does the grant process work?

  • If approved, grant funds are paid AFTER participation in the event/activity, and upon successful submission of the online Achievement Grant Claim Form.
  • Applications are assessed at the end of each month.
  • Applicants will be advised of the outcome as soon as possible after the application is assessed.
  • All applications will be considered on individual merit based on the information provided and officer assessment. Submission of an application does not guarantee funding.
  • To enable Council to support a diverse range of activities, the amount available for a competition may be capped if Council receives several applications from Casey residents who are all competing as a team or group in the same event/activity.
  • Once the funding pool has been expended, no additional funding will be available within the financial year. Prospective applicants will be advised accordingly.
  • Applications may be prioritised based on travel distance. National and international events/activities may take priority over those held in Victoria.

If successful, when will I receive the grant money?

After you have completed your event/activity, you must tell us how you spent the grant money and what the outcomes of the event/activity were. Once you complete the Achievement Grant Claim form, you will receive your money.
