Living Lab
A Place of Innovation and Collaboration
The Living Lab is a unique platform that stimulates the local economy, addresses environmental challenges, and improves community outcomes. It does this by trialling, evaluating, and potentially scaling up innovative ideas that align with Council strategies. This is made possible through private-public partnerships and innovative processes.
The Three Pillars of a Living Lab
- Problem: A complex problem that our community faces and is only likely to increase with our growth.
- People: A range of people from businesses, not-for-profit organisations, research institutions, and the community, who could address the problem.
- Place: A physical location to trial and evaluate the solutions.
Objective of the Living Lab
The primary goal of a Living Lab is to respond to complex challenges with new and innovative approaches. The Living Lab aims to identify and evolve solutions that can meet the needs of the community in new ways, taking into account community feedback and insights.
