Councillors and ward structure

Overview

The City of Casey has entered an exciting new chapter with the return of a democratically elected council. Twelve elected councillors, each representing one of Casey's newly established wards, will serve a four-year term until September 2028. This return to councillor-led governance directly links the community and Council, ensuring that residents' voices shape Casey's future.

New ward structure

From Saturday, 26 October 2024, Casey's electoral structure changed to 12 wards, each with a single councillor. This new ward structure reflects Casey's growing population and promotes fair and equitable representation, supporting good governance across the city. Each ward is tailored to the unique characteristics and priorities of its communities.
