Engineering standard drawings can be used by anyone designing and building roads and civil infrastructure within the City of Casey. These drawings fall into 2 categories:
- Drawings for new and growth areas. These can be found in the Engineering Design and Construction Manual.
- Drawings for older infrastructure. These can be found in the City of Casey Standard Drawings below.
Engineering Design and Construction Manual
The Victorian Planning Authority provides the Engineering Design and Construction Manual (EDCM). This outlines the engineering standards and specifications for new and growth areas in Casey. These standards are also common to other surrounding areas and councils.
Subdivisions with a planning permit issued after 1 November 2011 must satisfy the requirements of the EDCM.
City of Casey Standard Drawings
Council also publishes a limited set of standard drawings for infrastructure that is not detailed in the EDCM.
The City of Casey Standard Drawings may be used for development in areas outside the urban growth zone and in areas with engineering plans approved before 1 November 2011.
Council's standard drawings are maintained by the Subdivisions and Development Engineering Team.
Revision History
The City of Casey Standard Drawings will be updated from time to time as required, without prior notice. A history of revisions is maintained below.
It is the responsibility of interested parties to regularly check the revision history and download any revised standard drawings.
Council is not responsible for any loss or penalty incurred by any party who has failed to maintain up to date copies of these documents.
