You will need a Land Information Certificate for selling a property or refinancing purposes. The certificate provides information on matters affecting the property made under the Local Government Act(s) or a local law of the Council.
The contents of a Land Information Certificate include:
- the total rate amount for the current financial year
- outstanding rates as of the date of the certificate
- any interest due
- information around the value of the property.
