Delivered Meals

About the service

The Commonwealth Government provides funding to Council under the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) to deliver meals to eligible Casey residents who are at risk, or have difficulty preparing their own meals.

The Delivered Meals services provide a choice of two or three course meal options that are delivered to your home by dedicated friendly volunteers.

Each meal is nutritionally balanced and consists of a soup, main course with accompanying side and a dessert.

How does the service work?

Meal choices include two or three course options consisting of:

  • Main meal
  • Soup and/or dessert
  • Menus are sent out in advance for you to make your meal selection.
  • Dietary requirements such as diabetic friendly, texture modified, gluten free, allergen free and halal can be accommodated.
  • Meals are currently chilled, with heating instructions provided on the packaging.
  • Meals are delivered to your home by Volunteers between 9am -11am (Monday to Friday).
  • Meals are not delivered on weekends or public holidays but are delivered in advance.
  • You must be home to receive your meals. Unfortunately, meals are not able to be left in eskies at the front door or with neighbours.
